Following the release of "Hokkaido 2020" in 2023, this is Michael's second mini portfolio by Benrido. This portfolio is based on the pilgrimage of the Shikoku region to visit 88 sacred temples associated with Kobo-Dashi (Kukai). It is said that if you walk the entire journey, it will take more than 40 to cover a total distance of about 1,400 kilometers. Kenna has traveled to many sacred places in Shikoku multiple times since 2003, photographing pilgrimages, temples, rock gardens, offerings, lanterns, stone carvings of Buddha and more, with his own poetic perspective. This portfolio includes eight works, and is a series that gives off a different atmosphere from Hokkaido 2020.
